Mercer Academy of Martial Arts is still going strong after 30 years!

The legacy of Master Denis James is being carried out by the instructors and students that had the opportunity to train with him. He is truly missed but his spirit lives on.

The traditions and teachings that Master Irwin passed on to his students is now carried forward by Master De Umberto on Wednesday nights. Traditional techniques and katas are still performed as they were in the Tuesday night class. The Instructors and students are a testament to the knowledge and dedication he had and still has on all of us.

Ms. Brighid will be starting a Parent’s Night Out on Friday nights once a month. It will be an opportunity for the students to have some fun together, while the parents get to go out and have some fun together too. More information will be available soon at the school.

Women’s Self Defense Class will be held Thursday, October 27. There will be a Self Defense Class held once a month going forward.

School will be closed Monday October 31 for Halloween. Have fun and be safe!

There will be a promotion belt test in November. The date will be determined soon.

A board breaking night will also be scheduled in November.                                          
Get ready for this exciting event that all of the students love.

School will be closed November 24, 25 and 26 for Thanksgiving.
